When we walked up to Holey Moley Golf Club, Alexandria, our youngest’s words were “You can’t be serious! We get to golf there?!”
Our boys are 16, 13, and 11 when we visited, and I think they were anticipating a typical windmill, a few ramps, and some flags in cups on astroturf when we told them we were going for mini golf. Clearly, we were in for a different type of minigolf experience. We’re no golf experts, but we’ve done our share of mini golf since we started traveling full-time in 2018.
At Holey Moley, Alexandria location, look for a Simpsons-inspired couch, a life-sized Monopoly board, a roulette wheel, a 3-meter avocado, and references to your favorite Saturday morning cartoons.

We loved the Flinstones hole at Holey Moley, Alexandria
We had just wrapped up housesitting near Sydney and wanted to enjoy a day in Sydney with our boys before flying out. We capped it off with an evening at Holey Moley!
Introduction to Mini Golf at Holey Moley Golf Club
Holey Moley Alexandria is Australia’s largest indoor mini golf venue, with 27 unique putt-putt holes spread across three courses. It’s a great indoor activity to entertain your kids of the heat (or weather) isn’t cooperating on your visit to Sydney.
The courses include some mega holes as well as classic favorites, all set under high 14-meter ceilings.
It’s a great spot for families, groups, or anyone looking for a different kind of entertainment. We spent just as much time exploring the courses and taking photos (and video) as we did actually playing minigolf.
All three of the 9-hole courses looked like a lot of fun, so we eventually had to get the boys to rock-paper-scissors to decide which to play.

Holey Moley has locations across Australia, New Zealand, and USA
Each location is unique in actual features, so you’ll be able to visit multiple locations and have unique experiences at each, but each location has the same philosophy of over-the-top fun that stands out from any other mini golf courses.
Holey Moley Alexandria, Sydney Location
Holey Moley Alexandria is located at 75 O’Riordan Street, Alexandria, 2015 NSW AU, in the city’s industrial area. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the Mascot Station, which is great if the weather is cooperating. If you’re driving, there is plenty of parking in the carpark onsite.
The venue is part of the Funlab family, which includes the Archie Brothers Arcade (in the building next door with arcade games and Strike Bowling) and Hijinx Hotel (game-themed escape rooms). Holey Moley Alexandria offers a bar/restaurant, multiple 9-hole courses, and function rooms. Archie Brothers next door has the same menu and bar options.
We visited Holey Moley first to play our 9-holes of putt-putt, then went next door to Archie Brothers’ Arcade and had dinner while our boys played in the arcade and Strike bowling alley.

Our boys loved the Minecraft style hole – I think it was actually original NES Mario Golf…
Quick Note For Families
Because there is a bar on-site, there are restrictions on how late children can stay in the facility. Under 18s are allowed in the venue until 9:00 PM on Sunday through Thursday and 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, so plan your arrival time accordingly.
How Much is Mini Golf at Holey Moley Alexandria?

Common Questions about Holey Moley Alexandria:
How long do 9 holes of a holey moley take?
Between arriving at the facility, paying for our games, deciding which of the 3 courses we wanted to try (and taking a few photos along the way), and playing out our 9 holes as a family of 5, we spent about 90 minutes.
For actually playing the 9 holes, give yourself 30-40 minutes. Obviously, a smaller group will play quicker than our family of 5. If you have a group of 6 or more, we’d break the game into sets of 3 or 4 players. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill straight-shot mini golf holes, and we can guarantee you won’t be able to avoid taking a few pictures and recording some video along the way.
What should you wear to mini golf?
Since it’s indoors, we just wore the same clothes we’d been wearing to sightsee around Sydney for the day. You may want to bring a long-sleeve shirt if you’re typically cold in A/C.
What else is there to do near Holey Moley?
There are plenty of things to do with kids in Sydney, and with Archie Brothers next door, make an evening (like we did) of mini golf, arcade time, bowling, and some great food. There isn’t much else in the area since it’s a very industrial spot, and there aren’t hotels nearby, so plan to take public transport or Uber to and from the area.
