Here’s how we structured our day:

  1. Park on-site at Wet N Wild (you may be taking a shuttle from your hotel in Waikiki)
  2. Quick entry to the park by buying Wet N Wild tickets online ahead of our visit
  3. First stop was Guest Services to get our Cabana Reservation wristbands
  4. While there, we got our Flowrider wristbands for unlimited access all day
  5. Dropped our towels and backpack at the cabana – this gave us a shaded, central location to meet up throughout the day. The Cabana also came with two inner tubes, so we didn’t have to wait at the lazy river, and we could take them to the wave pool, along with a cooler with water bottles and fresh fruit.
  6. The boys disappeared. (Ian went to the Florider, while Joel and Zac went to ride the Volcanic Wedgee)
  7. We ordered lunch for later delivery at the cabana and went to explore the park (aka, Celine went to catch up with the others for thrill rides, and Adam took a cabana innertube to the lazy river).

Dive into Water World Thrills at the Only Waterpark in Hawaii

Wet ‘n Wild Hawaii is not just any waterpark; it’s a vibrant water world full of excitement and adventure. As the only waterpark in the state, it offers a unique and unmatched experience for all visitors. You’ll have fun experiencing over 25 different slides and attractions:

  • High-speed slides
  • Spray pads & splash pads
  • Wave pool
  • Family slides
  • Flowrider

There’s never a dull moment here. One minute, you could be plunging down a thrilling water funnel, and the next, floating serenely down an 800-foot lazy river or enjoying pizza as you relax under a private cabana at Wet’n’Wild Hawaii.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Wet’n’Wild Hawaii has created fun for all kinds of thrill-seekers and relaxation enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or a peaceful retreat, this park definitely has something for everyone.

Let’s dive deeper into some of the standout attractions that make Wet’n’Wild Hawaii a favorite, family-friendly attraction on Oahu:

Experience the NEW Volcanic Wedgee (points to the marketing department for creative naming!)

One of the latest and most thrilling additions to Wet’n’Wild Hawaii is their newest pair of slides called Volcanic Wedgeee. These premier slides are designed to provide high-speed fun that will leave you breathless. Because of their unique design, the Volcanic Wedgeee is like no other slide our family has ever experienced … and we have visited waterparks all over the country!

What makes these new slides so unique? The Volcanic Wedgee racing slides are 70 feet tall (200 steps to the top .. yep, we counted!). You’ll hit speeds of up to 30 mph as you slide down the steep drops that will give you an adrenaline-pumping experience like no other!

Imagine the rush of excitement as you plunge down these steep drops into total darkness and rocket through bursts of translucent color along the way. You’ll be surprised by the bright, colorful AquaLucent fiberglass sections that are glowing Shaka-themed segments and colorful rings throughout the slide until you splash down at the base of the Volcano, hopefully without a wedgeee.

This is an experience you simply cannot miss at Wet’n’Wild Hawaii, and if you ask our kids, they’ll tell you that it was their favorite set of slides in the park.

There was never a dull moment for our family of 5 when we visited Wet ‘n Wild. Our boys are 11, 13, and 16 years old, and we spent an entire day enjoying the park together. We saw lots of families with kids of all ages – even much younger kids than ours – having a blast in the splash pads, sprinkler playgrounds, lazy river, and wave pool. There is endless fun for all ages at Wet ‘n Wild on Oahu!

Add on a Private Cabana to make the most of your day

Cabana at Wet N Wild Hawaii

Elevate your experience by renting a cabana for you and your family. During our visit, the cabana was the icing on the cake. This is why our family enjoyed having one:

  • A comfortable spot to relax on the lounge chairs in the shade
  • A convenient meet-up point for our kids
  • A safe spot to store our belongings while we rode the slides
  • A place to gather between rides to eat lunch or get a drink
  • Cabana rental includes a cooler stocked with fresh fruit and cold water that kept us refreshed throughout the day

Cabanas also come with two inner tubes for use in the lazy river and wave pool, eliminating the need to wait for a public one. Having the cabana was the best option for us – it was convenient, comfortable, and allowed us to maximize our time enjoying the park’s attractions.

Add on a Da’Flowrider wristband

If surfing or bellyboarding is your thing, try Da’Flowrider – Hawaii’s only simulated surfing experience. Purchase a wristband for this attraction and take on one of Hawaii’s best waves with a continuous 40-foot wave to surf or bodyboard on. Our boys loved this attraction, which allowed them plenty of time to practice their surfing and bellyboard skills over and over. Since this is a premium add-on, the lines were short, and they could make the most of their experience all day long.

Our youngest son, who is 11 years old, spent most of the day on Da’Flowrider, while our other boys, ages 13 and 16, also enjoyed the experience a few times throughout the day. It is centrally located in the waterpark, making it easy to enjoy as you come and go from all the other attractions in the waterpark.

Dining at Wet ‘n Wild Hawaii

Dining at Wet ’n Wild Hawaii is both convenient and delicious. While there are plenty of restaurants near the park, we chose to make the most of our time by enjoying chicken fingers, fries, and pizza delivered directly to our cabana. You should have seen our kids’ faces light up as all their favorite foods arrived – it was priceless!

We enjoyed the convenience of eating in our own cabana and avoided the long lines outside of the restaurants on-site, maximizing our fun.

Whether you’re craving a quick snack or a full meal, Wet ’n Wild Hawaii has you covered. They offer a variety of delicious dining options to satisfy your hunger so that you can stay all day. (yes, both a chicken finger platter and pizza… don’t judge. We did a lot of stairs that day up to the slides…)

Season Pass Benefits

For those planning multiple visits, a season pass is the way to go. The Season Pass offers unlimited access to Wet ’n Wild Oahu, making it a cost-effective option for frequent visitors. Another perk for season pass holders is that they will also enjoy free parking.

Considering that the price of a season pass is less than the cost of two visits, it’s a great option if you’re staying nearby and plan to visit more than once. These added benefits make it an excellent value for families and water park enthusiasts alike. We were petsitting near Honolulu for just 10 days, but if it was any longer, it would have made the season pass worth another visit.

There are a lot of things to do in Oahu with kids, so we had to plan accordingly.

Highlight of the night was the fire knife dancing after dark

No visit to Wet ’n Wild Hawaii is complete without experiencing Chief’s Luau. Chief Sielu Avea, a world-renowned fire-knife dancer, is the main performer at this luau. Known for his exceptional skills and engaging performances, Chief Sielu’s show is a highlight of any visit to Oahu.

Filled with humor and cultural entertainment, Chief Sielu’s performance offers a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Polynesian culture. It was an unforgettable experience for us that added a unique and enriching dimension to our visit, and we highly recommend it after spending the day in the water park.
