Quick Thoughts about Mongo Land, Dalat

  • Mongo Land tickets are 120,000 VND when we visited in November 2025. That include all attractions. For 140,000 VND you get a free drink (bubble tea, coffee, or fruit juice) so we chose the 140k ticket.
  • Our boys are 16, 14, and 11. Their favorite attractions were the Rainbow Slide, grass sliding, and the petting zoo.
  • The best time to visit is during the dry season (late November to July) for pleasant weather, while arriving early helps avoid crowds. When we visited in early November, we didn’t have much of a line for anything, so while the day was overcast, the weather and crowds were perfect.
  • We saw families with kids of all ages enjoying the park.
  • If we had had more time in Dalat, our boys would have been happy to visit again.
  • We arrived around noon and left around 5. The Grab (Uber of Vietnam) took about 30 minutes each way from our hotel in Dalat and cost about $6 each way for our family. This price may vary for time of day and demand.
  • We would say this is a half-day activity, but if you want to take your time, there are enough activities with unlimited access to fill a day.

Is Mongo Land worth visiting in Da Lat?

Our boys (16, 14, and 11) found plenty to do, and it easily filled half a day for us. Our boys loved the rainbow slide, petting zoo, and grass hill carts. For 140,000 VND ($6), which includes all the rides, go-karts, and a drink from the cafe, we would say it’s worth visiting.

Visiting Hours and Entrance Fee: How much is Mongo Land?

When we visited in November 2025, the ticket price was just 140,000 VND (about $6 USD) per person, which included a complimentary drink like fruit juice, bubble tea, or coffee. It was great to have that treat available for a break during the day. (We could have paid 120,000 without a drink, but the extra dollar was worth enjoying a coffee and some fruit juice).

Ticket prices and operational hours can vary with the seasons. Check the park’s website or social media channels before your visit.

The entrance fee at Mongo Land includes access to all entertainment within the park (with the exception of costume rental). Access to the petting zoo, suction-cup archery, and slides was unlimited. The go-kart track access included one lap with our admission.

Things to do at Mongo Land Theme Park

Mongo Land had plenty of activities so everyone in our family found something they really enjoyed. At the heart of this theme park is the Rainbow Slide, the largest dry slide in Vietnam. This colorful slide is the largest of its kind in Vietnam, and makes for a great social media video.

Mongo Land Rainbow Slide

Mongo Land Dalat claims to have the largest Rainbow Slide in Vietnam. We haven’t ridden all of the rainbow slides in Vietnam, but we’ve tried to get to as many as possible. So far, we think Mongo Land Dalat is the largest in Vietnam (though there may be a few others tied; we don’t think any are larger).

Rides at Mongo Land

Grass Hill Carts:

Grass karts at Mongo Land Dalat

If you’re not ready for Vietnam’s largest dry slide, Mongo Land also has an astroturf grass slide on a small kart. Our boys each took multiple turns on the astroturf slide. With hay bales on either side, it became part of the fun to sit and watch other visitors careen off the course into hay or flip their car over on the astroturf.

The cars seemed difficult to steer, so we would sit on the cafe patio overlooking the grass slide area and guess if someone was going to be able to stay straight or wipe out in the hay bales.

Colorful Single-Rider Sled Ride:

Made up of the same bricks as the full rainbow slide, there are single-lane slides that you can ride in a sled. These are great for parents who want to ride with a smaller child, and they were fun for each of us to give a try. We didn’t spend much time on them, but they were a fun experience

Mongo Land Petting Zoo

Our boys were pretty excited about the petting zoo. This petting zoo includes:

  • Camels
  • Alpacas
  • Capybaras
  • Guinea pigs
  • Rabbits
  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Pygmy goats
  • Racoons
  • Interactive parrot enclosure

The petting zoo was popular with our kids – specifically the capybaras, parrots, and raccoons. We had paid to pet capybaras before (for our youngest son’s birthday one year at Gatorland in Florida), so we were happy to see that there wasn’t a fee to visit the capys.

Capybaras at Mongo Land Da Lat

Capybaras are our favorite at any petting zoo, but even better that access to them was included in our Mongoland Dalat Ticket

Petting zoo access was included with our pass (yes, even the capybaras that our youngest loves), and in many spots, the workers were feeding the animals, so they offered us the opportunity to feed the camels some grass and the rabbits some carrots.

There are also koi fish and iguanas. I don’t think you’re supposed to pet them, but I’m sure it’s possible if you’re brave enough.

Mongolian Cultural Attire

Mongo Land offers the option of renting traditional Mongolian attire, allowing visitors to wear colorful costumes for photos. We saw some people who had rented outfits, but our boys were more interested in the rainbow slide, petting zoo, and go-karts than in photo ops.

Unique Experiences and Activities

Mongo Land Dalat is more than just a ride destination. Like many theme parks in Vietnam, it has strong cultural ties to the local people and the legends of Vietnam’s history.

There are so many photos waiting to be taken since the park sits on the edge of a hill overlooking a valley covered in farms with fruit trees, rice terraces, fields of flowers, and livestock. Mongo Land’s breathtaking scenery, combined with its decorative koi pond, statues, stacked painted rocks, and tropical flowers, makes it a great place for photos to remember your visit to Da Lat.

Whether you’re an animal lover, a photography enthusiast, or looking for some activities for the thrill seekers in your family, Mongo Land offers something for everyone.

Best Times to Visit Mongo Land

Timing your visit to Mongo Land can greatly enhance your experience. The best time to visit is from late November to July, during the dry season when the weather is more enjoyable, with temperatures ranging from high teens to mid-twenties Celsius.

The dry season allows full enjoyment of the park’s outdoor attractions without worrying about rain, but we think the overcast weekday we chose was perfect because there were very few people in the park. Mornings and evenings in Dalat can be cooler, so consider a light jacket or sweater.

Tips for Your Visit

To make the most of your visit to Mongo Land Dalat, here are some quick tips:

  • Pack a light jacket and sunscreen for various weather conditions.
  • Wear comfortable footwear, as you’ll be on your feet most of the day.
  • Opt for the ticket that includes a drink from the drink bar (like a bubble tea, coffee, or fruit juice)
  • Arrive early, especially on weekends, to enjoy popular attractions with minimal wait times.
  • Plan your meals for less crowded times to avoid long lines and maximize your time on rides and activities. We arrived at noon after having a big breakfast at our hostel in Dalat, then had our snack mid-afternoon, so we didn’t need to eat while we were at the park.
  • Visit the rainbow slide first. It’s the furthest from the entrance. (Most people walk in and stop at the first thing they see). If the slide is busy, visit the capybaras, parrots, camels, or raccoons at the petting zoo, then come back.

Bring a battery pack for your smartphone to be sure you have plenty of charge at Mongo Land, as the park is filled with Instagram-worthy moments. We’ve been traveling with a small battery pack. We don’t always need it, but you’ll have to cut your visit short if you get down to single-digit battery life and need to use the Grab app to get back to your hotel – you can’t walk to Dalat from Mongo Land!

Nearby Attractions: Mario Kart is not at Mongo Land (but they’re in the same direction!)

On the way to Mongo Land, we stopped at Cao Nguyen Hoa track (nicknamed Mario Kart, Dalat). The “Mario Kart” is a downhill car track for non-motorized cars, and is the same direction out from the city. It was a great way to fit in two activities while heading the same direction from Dalat. (Neither is within walking distance of Dalat, to use Grab to get a car from your hotel)

The “Mario Kart” is made up of two tracks with a shuttle that takes you back up the hill. Your admission covers two rides on the track, so there’s a learning track (green) with fewer turns and is less steep, then there’s a red track with steeper hills and tighter turns once you’re familiar with how to drive the cars.

The cars are simple to operate with hand brakes like a bike, and gravity does the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Mario Kart at Mongo Land?

No, “Mario Kart” is a nickname for Cao Nguyen Hoa track which is the same direction from Dalat as Mongo land, but they are different attractions. We made a day of doing both. We had breakfast at our hotel in Dalat, then took a grab to Mario Kart, and then went to Mongo Land.

Many package tours include both, since they can be combined in a single day.
