Interested in exploring Suối Tiên Amusement Park, just 20 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City? Here’s everything we think you should know from our family’s visit!

We are huge theme park fans, and we experienced this crazy park in November 2025. November is a quieter season, so there were no crowds (even on a Saturday), and some construction and renovation were going on in the park that didn’t affect our visit.

We ended up getting lots of sun and bouts of rain. A lot of the park is sheltered or indoor activities, so it was actually perfect for a rainy day – the crowds were minimal and there were plenty of places to enjoy our time out of the rain.

We are excited to share our experience and help plan your visit with this guide that covers everything you need to know: how to get to the park, ticket prices and payment options, top attractions, and tips for a fantastic day. Read on to plan your visit to both the theme park at the water park.

We loved the wave pool at Suoi Tien Amusement Park – the perfect way to cool off at a theme park in Vietnam

Quick Overview of Suoi Tien Theme Park:

  • Suối Tiên Amusement Park is 20 km from Ho Chi Minh City, easily accessible by metro, taxi, Grab (Asia’s version of Uber), or bus, with a well-organized map to navigate attractions.
  • Entrance fees are affordable. There are multiple combos available depending on what you’d like to do in the park, or you can simply pay the entrance fee and purchase tickets for different attractions during your visit.
  • Must-see attractions include the unique Crocodile Kingdom, bicycle riding through Suối Tiên Farm, sledding in the ‘Snow Castle’, ‘Unicorn Palace Journey into Buddhist Hell’, and a large water park featuring a wave pool and slides for all ages.
  • One thing to know as tourists is the English translation for “Rides or Attractions” is “Games” so if you’re purchasing tickets or combos for unlimited games, that’s not referring to “games” (like ring toss or shooting range) but refers to their attractions (rides, haunted houses, or VR experiences)
  • Ticket recommendation: Just go to town and buy the biggest combo. We went straight to the biggest combo and had access to everything in the park for less than $20 per person. You can get your tickets right at the gate or purchase them ahead of time online.

Location and How to Get There

Suối Tiên Amusement Park is conveniently located 20 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, making it an accessible escape from the bustling city center. If you’re starting your adventure from central Ho Chi Minh City, the most efficient way to arrive is by taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service like Grab.

For those who prefer public transport, consider the following:

  • Take the metro, since there is a train station directly across from the park’s main entrance. (use Google maps to get schedule and location details)
  • Several bus routes (10 and 150) will take you directly to the park. Check before hopping on one of these busses in case details have changed since we wrote this post.
  • Bus rides can take about 70 minutes or more, so be prepared for a longer journey.

We used Grab (which is Asia’s version of Uber). It cost us around $12 / 44 minutes to get to the park from our hotel downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

Navigating in the Park:

No matter which method of transportation you choose to get to the park, navigating different areas within the park once you arrive is a breeze, thanks to their well-organized park map.

Suoi tien Amusement park map

The map was helpful for the layout, but since we didn’t know what the titles meant, it made it interesting to figure out what we were about to see next.

The “Unicorn Palace,” for instance, sounds really whimsical and magical, but it’s a retelling of the horrors of a terrible life – like a horror story in the form of a haunted house. We’ll give you an outline of each attraction we visited below, so you’ll know what to expect.

Their map will help you locate all the top attractions and dining spots. You can easily find everything you need while walking around the park. You can also ride a “tourist train” when you need a break from walking through the park. The train is included with some passes or you can add it on if you decide you want a break part-way through your day.

Opening Hours and Entrance Fees

Suối Tiên Amusement Park welcomes visitors every day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (but check for special evening events or excpetions before making the trip). To give yourself enough time to explore the main park and all of the attractions, as well as the waterpark, we recommend starting your day as early as possible – we arrived around 9am and felt like there was more to do by the time the park was closing at 5.

When it comes to tickets, the entrance fees are based on height. Children under 1 meter (just over 3 feet) are free. 1-1.4 meters (under 4 feet) are a child rate, and anyone over 1.4 meters pays the adult rate. There are packages available for both entrance and bundles for attraction tickets, so check here for details when deciding.

Additionally, you will need to purchase one of the various combo tickets available that grant access to specific attractions within the park. Be sure to check these out to enhance your experience, either on the website or in person at the ticket counter. You may need to pay extra for some of these options. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the park.

We would recommend just going for the full package. It works out to around $20 per adult and will give you access to everything without having to consider if something is included or something else is extra.

Must-See Attractions at Suối Tiên

At Suối Tiên Amusement Park, you’ll find a blend of culture and excitement with attractions that you won’t find anywhere else. The park is themed around Buddhism and Vietnamese legends, blending entertainment with spiritual and cultural themes.

There are plenty of fair rides, a large and small roller coaster, spinning rides, and an air-conditioned VR experience. Here are the favorites from our boys if you have kids around the same ages:

  • Joel (16) enjoyed the Mystery of Witches Forest indoor roller coaster.
  • Zac (14) loved the Four spirits converge boat ride.
  • Ian (11) would go back for sledding in the snow castle

More than visting a theme park, we had a unique cultural experience through its beautifully designed gardens and sculptures.

As you wander through the park, you’ll encounter bizarre iconic features like the golden Bodhisattva, which stands as a serene guardian over the park.

We enjoyed seeing the surreal and bold designs inspired by Buddhist and Vietnamese cultural elements.

Thrill-seekers like us will enjoy their larger attractions such as the Ferris Wheel, multiple roller coasters, and the ‘Magic Castle,’ a haunted house experience (called Hogwarts?) filled with ghosts and devils. Families with children can enjoy a mini roller coaster, designed to provide a gentle yet exciting ride for kids, along with other exciting rides for all ages.

The attractions throughout the park often feature Buddhist imagery, mythological creatures like dragons and phoenixes, and themes from Vietnamese folklore and history, making this theme park so unique and colorful.

What to expect at Suoi Tien:

Unicorn Palace: Not so whimsical

Beautiful on the outside, but the inside seems to be a bit of a different experience!

Unicorn Palace is actually a scary walk through dark tunnels, exploring the folklore legend that after you die, you experience all of the evil things you did in your life, and then come before judges to discuss if you deserve to go to heaven or hell. A few of us braved the dark tunnels, while some of us just waited outside.

Magic Castle: Hogwarts-ish…

The Magic Castle says Hogwarts on the side and has characters familiar to Harry Potter fans without actually saying so. It’s meant to be an intense/scary experience, like a haunted house. 2 of our family members love this, and the other 3 of us waited outside to be told “It’s really not that scary…”

Winter Castle:

Inside the winter castle, you’ll put on boots and a coat to walk into a freezing ice room where you can sled downhill. It’s a great break from heat, and a unique experience if you’ve never experienced snow in winter.

Crocodile Kingdom, Suoi Tien:

See thousands of crocodiles (at least their eyes and the top of their heads) in the lagoons. Pay a small fee to feed the crocodiles and watch them grab chunks of chicken right off of your line.

Mystery of Witch Forest

Again, toted as “not THAT scary” by our kids, this indoor attraction has a series of lights and odd-looking figures in a dark building and ends with a mild roller coaster indoors in the dark.

Mystery of witch forest

Fairy Phoenix Palace

The Fairy Phoenix Palance is a water raft ride where you float along a path in the water. You won’t get wet riding these rafts. It takes you through a dark tunnel that seems to go through a jungle and (we guessed) shows the story of evolution of humans from monkeys and creatures through to cavemen.

A few things surprised us about this family-friendly ride. There are a few times where the animatronics jump out at you (so might not be a fit for young children or skiddish adults (like me, Adam). There are also a few animatronics with humans stabbing animals or getting arrows through the chest. ha. It’s a experience for sure, but something I wouldn’t take young kids to see.

This is a smaller version of the fairy phoenix. The Palace has a large version with many steps leading up to it (we missed getting a photo!)

Golden Dragon Temple

Take off your shoes at the bottom of the steps and walk through to experience an incredible amount of ornate detail. This facility is actively used by religious groups (yes, even though it’s inside a theme park) and so it’s a place to stay quiet and reverent while experiencing the incredible amount of detail that goes into these buildings and ceremonies.

The Wine Palace

We didn’t get a picture, and I (Adam) was the only one interested in finding out what was inside. It’s mostly a winery with glass windows to see the vats and a beautiful wooden tasting room, like a large dining room. If wine is your thing, you might be really interested, and it was worth walking through since it was included in our pass, but we wouldn’t recommend paying extra to walk through this building.

Underground Aquarium

This was a 5-minute stop for us. There are a number of large tanks with large sea creatures – a sea turtle, sharks, and a number of large fish. It’s underground, so a nice escape from the sun, and great that it was included in our pass, but not something we would rush to see or pay extra for.

Suoi Tien Organic Farm

This was interesting for us. A lot of the farm and crops are covered with grape vines, so there’s plenty of shade. You can taste fresh fig juice or drink coconut water. We rented a bike for the 5 of us to pedal and rode around the paths under the grape vines.

Four Spirits Converge Boats:

This is a round river with a massive dragon statue in the middle. The 4 spirits are each of the other 4 animals that are represented through the park, and this round river has motorized boats that you can ride and steer around the river. We’re not sure if the boats were supposed to be like bumper cars for boats, but our boys turned it into bumper boats in no time at all!

We did splurge an extra $2/kid for an add on the play in these air balloons on the water for a few minutes:

Exploring the Huge Water Park

The huge, brightly colored water park at Suối Tiên Theme Park is a paradise for those looking to beat the hot weather. One of the main attractions here is the wave pool, which simulates ocean waves, offering a fun experience for all ages. The water park offers loads of free inflatable rings and floating mats to enjoy riding on the waves. You’ll also find small and large waterslides that end in the wave pool.

Thrill-seekers can also enjoy multiple high-speed water slides and attractions around the brightly-colored sculptures and inside the man-made mountain. The water park also features a children’s play area with spraying water, ensuring that even the youngest visitors have a blast.

The water park was under renovation while we visited the park, but the wave pool and two waterslides were open, so we were able to cool off and swim for a couple of hours.

Depending on the time of year, you may want to explore the water park during weekdays or early morning hours to avoid the crowds. We visited the water park in the afternoon on a weekend in November and did not find it busy. Don’t forget to bring your swimwear and towels. Locker rentals are available on-site as well as change rooms with showers. If you forget your swimsuit, you can rent one (not something we typically see at a waterpark).

Food and Dining Options

No visit to Suối Tiên Amusement Park is complete without sampling the delicious food options available throughout the park. From sit-down restaurants to street food stalls, we found that there were plenty of great food and drink options. The restaurant we ate at offers a hot pot, which is particularly popular, offering a communal dining experience that’s perfect for families and groups.

You’ll find a variety of cuisines, including traditional Vietnamese dishes and international cuisine. Prices are generally reasonable, especially considering the theme park setting, so you can enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. Our family was in the mood for fried rice, and that was a perfect lunch for us.

To avoid lines and potentially long wait times for meals, the best option is to visit the eateries during non-peak hours. Using the park map can help you locate dining options and plan your meals around your activities. Because the park was not crowded during our visit, we did not have to wait for a table, and our meal was served promptly after we ordered our food.

Tips for Visiting Suối Tiên Amusement Park

When planning your visit to Suối Tiên Amusement Park, there are a few tips to keep in mind to enhance your experience.

First, all ticket purchases within the park are cash-only, so be sure to bring enough cash with you if you plan to explore attractions individually instead of part of a bundle. Suối Tiên offers a variety of attractions that you won’t want to miss.

For families, a visit to Suối Tiên can provide hours of entertainment – our family enjoyed the park for over 8 hours! If we had the time (and if the water park was fully-functional) we could have easily made it a 2-day visit exploring the theme park in the morning when it’s cooler, and the water park in the afternoon.

With a variety of attractions suitable for all ages, you can easily spend an entire day exploring the park, especially if you have children. Plan your visit to include a mix of thrilling rides, cultural attractions, and relaxing spots.

Best Time to Visit for a Full Day of Fun

Timing is key to making the most of your visit to Suối Tiên Amusement Park. A great time to visit is during the summer months and national holidays, particularly from April to September, because the park offers a lot of special events. Note that it could also be busier during this time of year.

One of the most festive times to visit is during the Lunar New Year, when the park is decorated for the season and hosts unique cultural performances at night.

Consider visiting on weekdays or during their slower fall season, like we did in November, for a more relaxed and less crowded experience. You can expect to enjoy the attractions without the long lines and hustle, making your day more enjoyable and leisurely.

Navigating the Park Map

They offer a park map to help you navigate Suối Tiên. It highlights all the key attractions, making it easier for visitors to plan their day and ensure they don’t miss out on any must-see spots. The map also marks specific themed areas, such as the ‘Unicorn Palace,’ and other unique attractions, guiding you through the park’s diverse sections.

Additionally, the layout includes gardens, lakes, and temples, which are all clearly marked on the map. The map was thoughtfully designed and easy to follow so that you can walk through the park efficiently, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
