Nashville is a great city for families to visit. It has plenty of things to do with kids. From museums, parks, and zoos, to the music and food scene, families can have a great time exploring this fun city.

Country Music Hall

The Country Music Hall of Fame is a music city hall and museum in Nashville, Tennessee dedicated to the history of country music. The museum was established by the Country Music Foundation in 1961 and opened to the public on May 18, 1964.

Nashville is known as the “Music City” because of its thriving country music scene. The city has been home to many country music stars including Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., and Loretta Lynn. You can also get a backstage tour there.

It stands as one of the famous music venues for live music and is located at 5th Avenue North and Broadway Street in downtown Nashville, near Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville Zoo

The Nashville Zoo is a zoo in East Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1875 by John and Charles McGavock. The zoo is home to more than 1,300 animals representing over 250 species, including a wide variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.

It is a great place to visit and learn about the animals. Did you know that it is the largest zoo in North America? The zoo has over 1,500 animals representing over 250 species from all over the world.

The zoo was originally established as a private menagerie by James Lick, Jr., who had visited Europe and brought back many exotic animals. It has been recognized as one of the top zoos in the country for its education programs, conservation efforts, and animal rescue work.

Treetop Adventure Park

The Treetop Adventure Park Nashville is a new adventure park in the city of Nashville. It is located on top of one of the tallest buildings in the city and with an incredible view of the city. This park features zip lines, rope swings, and a climbing wall. The park also has a restaurant and bar on site.

Treetop Adventure Park Nashville is a fun and adventurous place to spend a day with your family. There are over 10 acres of tree-covered terrain, zip lines, and thrilling attractions. Located in Nashville’s beautiful greenbelt, this park is a unique experience you won’t forget.

The park is open year-round so you can enjoy it any time of the year. It’s also great for birthday parties and group events as they offer packages that include food, drinks and special activities like paintball or archery.

Gaylord Opryland Resort

Gaylord Opryland Resort Nashville is a major tourist attraction in Nashville, Tennessee. The resort is the largest hotel in the state of Tennessee and has been voted one of the “Best Places to Stay” by USA Today. The resort features over 1,000 guest rooms and suites, a variety of dining options, and an extensive list of amenities for guests.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort is also home to two museums: The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and The Grand Ole Opry House. You can take your whole family and do a lot of fun things there. This place breaks your perception that Nashville might only be a home to recording studios, bars, and dance floors.

Our kids enjoyed exploring the impressive and beautiful indoor gardens and seeing the huge waterfall inside the resort. You can walk through the resort without having a reservation to stay in the hotel.

Nashville Farmers Market

Nashville Farmers Market is open year-round. It is busiest during April – November because that is the growing season. Ranked as one of the best in the country, the Nashville Farmers’ Market hosts farmers and restauranteurs as well as artisans, various merchants, and special events. It is a tourist attraction that has been around for more than 100 years and has been thriving in the last few decades.

This market is one of the most popular attractions in Nashville and it brings in millions of tourist dollars annually. The market was founded by a group of farmers who were looking to sell their products at a central location where they could be easily found and purchased. Today, the market consists of over 100 vendors selling fresh produce, meat, flowers, crafts, and more. During the winter months, the market is only set up indoors.

Music City Hall of Fame

Nashville is known for its country music. The Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville is a premiere downtown attraction and the one and only museum in the world that honors the talented musicians who played on the greatest recordings of all time. Each exhibit tells the story of a musician that you may have heard but may have never seen.

The City Hall in the Hall Of Fame offers many fun kids activities, including a Scavenger Hunt (which ends with prizes at the end) and a playground for the children. A highlight is the studio, a popular destination for people to record, playback or save their music.

Nashville Public Library

While in Nashville, you should visit the stunning public library that is two blocks south of the Tennessee State Capitol. The three-story 300,000 square-foot stone building was built in a Modern Classical style and is breathtaking. Inside is a grand staircase in the lobby, lots of skylights, large windows providing a view of the State Capitol, and original artwork commissioned exclusively for the library.

The Nashville Room offers books, photographs, pamphlets and newspaper clippings on the history of Nashville. Besides visiting the library simply to see the beautiful architecture, families can enjoy programs for all ages that the library offers.

We visited while there was a reading festival. Another time we were there, we enjoyed a musical performance on the second-story outdoor patio.

Grand Ole Opry House

The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenessee, is a popular venue for live music and entertainment. It has been around since 1892. Did you know that the building was originally built as a barn for the Vanderbilt family’s horse-drawn carriage business?

It was later converted into a theatre and then into the Grand Ole Opry House in 1939 by George D. Haynes Sr., who also oversaw the construction of the Ryman Auditorium across the street from it. The house has hosted many famous artists such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams Jr., Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson over its history.

Adventure Science Center

The Adventure Science Center Nashville is a non-profit organization that provides hands-on science education for people of all ages. They offer a variety of programs and activities, including summer camps, birthday parties, and drop-in programs.

The Adventure Science Center Nashville was founded in 2002 by an entrepreneur who saw the need for more kids to have access to science education. The center has grown exponentially since then and now reaches over 20,000 kids each year with their educational programs.

The Adventure Science Center Nashville is a great place for families in the Nashville area to learn about science and technology. You can have free access if you own an ASTC pass.

Centennial Park Nashville

Nashville has a rich history and an array of attractions. The city’s most famous landmark, Centennial Park, is a popular destination in downtown Nashville. The park was originally developed as part of the 1904 World’s Fair. It was established in 1876 as part of President Ulysses S. Grant’s Centennial celebration.

It has since been expanded to become a large green space in the heart of Nashville that includes walking trails, athletic fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

The park is filled with many fun activities for all ages, such as the children’s playground, the carousel, and the Ferris wheel. The park also has a beautiful view of downtown Nashville and is home to more than thirty different species of trees.

Tennessee Performing Arts Center

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Nashville is a performing arts center in the downtown area of Nashville. It is the home of the Tennessee Symphony Orchestra, Opera and Ballet.

The building is made up of three theatres: The Andrew Jackson Hall, The Andrew Johnson Hall and The James K. Polk Theater. It also houses classrooms, rehearsal halls, offices and storage areas for costumes and props.

The theatre was originally designed by architect Eero Saarinen in 1962 and was completed in 1965. If you are planning to visit Nashville and looking for a family-friendly attraction, visit a show at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

The Parthenon

Would you like to see the world’s only exact-size replica of the original Parthenon in Athens? You will find it in Nashville, Tennessee! Although Nashville’s Parthenon was built for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897 as a temporary building, it has since become an impressive tourist attraction. It houses models of the statues found in the original structure as well as an extensive art collection.

We have taken our kids to see the Parthenon in Nashville in the daytime as well as at night. It is fun to walk around the building alongside the rows and tall pillars. Seeing this impressive building light up at night is also a fun experience. We enjoyed this little family outing in Nashville, and as a bonus, it was completely free.
